Portfolio VI Darkroom Fantasies Notes about these prints: I do all my printing during the winter to build inventory for the summer Art Shows. In the winter of 2005, during a break, I asked myself "What else can I do as artist in my darkroom?" How could I create new imagery from some of my existing photographs without using computers? After experimenting with some already known techniques, I still wasn't satisfied. So I created a proprietary device that allows me to selectively abstract some areas of the image, while leaving other areas in their natural state. Each result is unique, and because of the process, can only be created in one print size. They require the most effort of anything I've ever done, and will be added slowly over the years as time permits. These are not presented as original photographs, but rather graphic art created in my traditional darkroom, and are Ilfochromes in limited edition sets of 25, with 250 total.
